All I want for Christmas

Loving Dexter these days. I have two more eps of Season 3 to watch. I have to fast-forward through the intro though. It makes me queasy.

Kids all passed their swimming level today. Although I had to lobby for one of them. Jack has taken level 2 twice and at feedback the instructor said he was doing great. Based on our observations, it seemed like it was all no sweat for him. Final lesson and report card today. All skills were ticked off except one said needs improvement. He could only swim 9 out of 10 metres. WTF? Soooo...I did what any good mom would do...I lied to him, and then pleaded my case to the person on duty. The head cheese called me at home a couple of hours later to say that yes, indeed he should have passed and they'd correct it. I'm not a pain in the ass mom but c'mon. If someone had told him to swim the extra metre I'm sure he would have. Plus his brother is already one level ahead. Perils of having twins. Some finessing of egos is involved.

Christmas party 2nite. I'd rather listen to a record of nails on a chalkboard than go. The kids are excited though. Daisy has a new dress she wants to debut.

I am off to shower. A long, hot, luxurious Saturday shower. The best.

Mmmm...long hot luxurious shower.

Why you following me on Twitter - I don't update that thing...Kanye West hasn't lost his marbles, what up with you girl?

Figures. I'm a day late and a dollar short. I could have washed your back.

So, how was the party where you would rather hear nails scratching the chalk board?

Loved that line, I've been to those parties.

So Ms. Eve, How did the party go? Fun when kids are excited about life. New dress to debut, I think I need one too! Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks for the offers guys. (:

The party was actually really fun. The nights you dread always end up being the best. Somehthing about low expectations i guess.
