and i have no resolutions for self-assigned penance for problems with easy solutions

Christmas was awesome. The best part was the two days we spent at my parents. My mom, dad, sis, bro-in-law, 2 nephews, bro, bro's girlfriend, bro & girlfriend's dog, other sis, and the 5 of us. There were a few adventures. My nephew pressed a pillow against the gas fireplace until it burned and the acrid smell of foam filled the air. Then he broke the head off a jade statue. Then Velvet (dog) ran out of the house across the street to chase a dog and cars had to slam on their brakes. Then my other nephew had to be rushed to the clinic with a double ear infection, pink eye, and vomiting. Then my sister took Daisy out to the mall when she wasn't feeling well. A pizza, fries, OJ (the juice not the football player), and subway ride after, she threw up on the bus on the way home. Despite all this, it was a remarkably relaxing time. We played games, drank, talked, debated. I love my family. None of us wanted to go home.

Tonight, for the first time in over 20 years, I am staying in for New Years. The kids and I spent many hours today purchasing our supplies. We have movies, ice cream sundae fixins, taco stylins, Thai menu (for me and the mister), party hats, horns, confetti, New Year's crackers (the little paper thingies with the plastic junk inside, not the ignorant white peoples), and we're pulling out our sleeping bags and having a sleepover in the rec room. It's snowing gently outside and oh so cosy in here.

Happy New Year's Eve.

It's awesome to pay a quick visit this site and reading the views of all friends about this post, while I am also zealous of getting knowledge.
