A few tidbits of info:
I went on Bupropion/Zyban/Wellbutrin to help me with quitting smoking a few months ago. It made me absolutely crazy & suicidal. On the "upside" I didn't feel like smoking...or eating. I gave it two weeks and then could not take it anymore. Just a little warning for anyone who may try this stuff to watch out for the suicidal "side-effect". I did some research & it's actually fairly common. An anti-depressant that creates suicidal thoughts. Awesome. I do suffer from mild to moderate depression at times but I honestly had CRAZY thoughts that were directly a result of this stuff. Just thought I'd put it out there. Oh, and I haven't had a cigarette in 42 days!
My little sister was just diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Almost asymptomatic until the last few months when she started to get very atypical symptoms. Mostly she started to swell after eating wheat and started to have some digestive problems, and a skin rash. She went to see a very astute doctor who thought it was a good idea for her to get tested. They did a biopsy of her small intestine and was positive for CD. Apparently many people who have Celiac are unaware and are not diagnosed for years. Permanent damage can occur due to malnutrition. We are all going to get tested now. Being gluten-free seems to be trendy now and is so annoying but I'm getting the idea that gluten=bad for many people.
So there you have it, my health tips for the year. Take care of yourselves!
