Chicken Shit

Watched 30 Days of Night last night. Scaresville. I've been afraid of vamps since i was a kid. Slept with my covers around my neck all night. Couldn't get to sleep until about 2:30in the AM. I lie in bed thinking about how I could escape & protect my kids, where we'd hide...
I need a plan because, you know, what if I had to move to the northernmost town in Alaska during the 30 days with no sun & ancient vampires came to town?
Well, I'd be the bossy leader of the remaining humans & I'd get you all to safety with my mad planning skillz (whilst slightly sweating & rocking a tight white tank top), that's what.

when i watched it, even being a big horror fan, i was scared, too. going, "that could totally be happening somewhere right now"

ecks.

Is that rated R - thinking my kids (11 & 13) might be into it if it's not too "mature"?

I think it is waaaay too scary & gory for kids myself. I think they'd have nightmares.

zoey, yeah that's what i think too, except it's more like "that could totally happen tonight, at my house!" and then i have a mini panic attack.

Okay, must rent this movie this weekend. Although, have to admit that I sort think vamps are sexy. It's the whole power and immortality thing I guess. Am I taking my lust for bad boys too far here?

oh man, these are so not Ann Rice or Lost Boys sexy vampires. They are creepy & disgusting creatures. icky.

Not a big scary movie fan. I think the last one I saw was 'Halloween...' the first time it was released. I can't even read horror books - Stephen King? Scares the bejeezus out of me.

thanks - that's what I needed to know

Tara, I love Stephen King, but yup, major creepsies.

MCM, you're welcome!

Ugh, horrors! The last one I saw was The Ring but I didn't even make it a quarter way in before I excused myself to the bedroom to watch something to help chill me out. I wouldn't even go into the kitchen without getting all nervous and that was the very last horror I ever (didn't) see.

Yay! I'm so glad i'm not the only fraidy cat. The Ring freaked me out too.
