Today will be an awesome day. It is August 1st, mid-way through summer, Friday of a long weekend. We're going to Toronto tomorrow for some festivities with the family. ALL of us will be there (14) so it will be a very packed house. I'm not working today so I am going swimming with my sister and our boys when they arrive in a few minutes, then to the library and then off to my daughter's camp for visitor's day.
As an aside, if any of you do live in any of Canada's colder climes, this is construction season. Every street I turn down is blocked for construction which makes navigating the city extra supes dupes fun. Historically, there has always been a very tanned and weathered dude (or the token girl) holding up a stop sign. I have noticed they now have portable traffic lights which frees up this sign holder to stand around smoking and ogling with the other dudes. Progress.

Geez. Canada sounds like Chicago, only NORTH.
Have a nice, really nice, day.

I can;t believe it is August and I am really not that tan.

Bwahahaha...funniest and truest thing I've read all day
Hello! Just wanted to stop by and say hi. Trying to catch up on my bloggie friends - though it's taking much longer than anticipated.
Hope all is well on your end. Enjoy the pool. :)
The portable traffic light idea still hasn't made it's way over to Kingston. Which is really too bad because we're famous for weathered dudes holding signs ...
I can't believe the Teamsters would allow for that function to be automated!!!
I agree, that job should still be there for any sign turner that may want it - it's the highlight of construction zones. The joys of summer.
