I am not fully ready for summer to come to a close. Yet, here it is. In the middle of a heatwave. Flowers in full bloom, shorts, t's and sundress weather. I gave my boys an extra tight squeeze tonight as tomorrow they start Grade 1. No more lazy Monday and Friday afternoons for us. I can't think too hard or too long on this for my throat feels tight and my heart feels heavy. I don't like passages or endings. I am excited for them at the same time. Paradoxically, I loved September as a kid. Couldn't wait to see my friends, try out my pencil crayons and show off my new outfits.
Fall is my favourite season and it's been a good summer so no complaining here. Just an observation that life after 35 moves way too quickly.

Yes, and thee further past 35 you get - the faster it goes.
Time moves faster because when you're 10, a year is 1/10 of your life, whereas when you're 35, a year is 1/35 of your life. And so on...
Sigh. Way, way, waaaay too quickly. I hear you on grade one.
